These terms refer to the second private room that juxtaposed the bedroom. This place was the exclusive space for women of the French bourgeoisie, where they could have some intimacy and freedom far away from oppressive social codes.

By extension, a boudoir is understood now as a personal oasis. Also, it is not reserved for women but anyone.

So, it is surprising that boudoirs often occur in the person's room. We prefer to include many other places to give more freedom, but this is a personal view.

This type of portrait photography focuses on the seductive or romantic side of someone, who is usually posed partially nude or in lingerie. Traditional sex appeal is not the only goal. Boudoir photography sessions are also about emotionally stripping down and getting photos showcasing people's vulnerability or passion.

We know that it could be confusing as “boudoir” has become, for a few years, a generic word to speak about anything except boudoir.

We have the feeling that whenever something comes from France, people think it must be complicated and confusing. But it isn’t.

Photographers are certainly even more lost than the general audience by labeling boudoirs:

…and sadly, much more…

They will gently exclude men from this, creating a new word for them “duddoir” which made, by definition, non-sense and even more regarding it with a Latin perspective.

Some women choose not to wear lingerie on their photoshoots. They prefer wearing kimonos, lace tops, and bodysuits or playing with jewelry and fabric.

A bridal boudoir session is usually done 2 to 3 months before a wedding to allow us time to edit your photos and choose your favorites for the book we will create for you.

The printed book we propose is made from high-quality professional photo paper with many cover options (from leather to lace); this luxurious gift will have a more profound effect than thousands of words.

A boudoir session is very intimate, and we can’t imagine seeing you for the first time on the day of the shooting.

We’ll chat with an excellent coffee or cocktail face to face or via your favorite chat (Zoom/WhatsApp/Skype/Hangout) and get this fantastic collaboration off to a brilliant start!

A boudoir is about highlighting the intimacy of a person without transforming or faking it. Even if it’s not journalism, as we will create a specific aesthetic and sometimes add some exotic details, in the end, this is you.

This is why it’s always better to do it at your place or a place matching your personality.

This is also why we must clearly know your mentality and figure.

All creators of original works hold moral rights to their work.

Moral rights include:

• The right to associate their name with their work (mention);

• The right to the integrity of one’s work – without the work being cropped, cut, excessively trimmed, or altered.

For this reason, we ask for your cooperation in maintaining the copyright during your social sharing.

We never identify our clients on photos (meaning tagging your account's first name or family name on the caption), even if they are influencers.

Respecting name privacy is very important to us.

We are posting less and less on social media. Their policy does not match our values and visions about art, body, feminism, and freedom.

We consider our photos tasteful, and that's what you're here for.

There are no guarantees when we submit our work, but it's always a great joy when Editors choose a session from hundreds of others.

These magazines are read by professional photographers, artists, and fashion and arts professionals. There is no financial compensation (magazines have not paid creators for several decades; this is part of the facts that persist in the collective imagination), but we will always offer you a copy of the magazine.

And we're sure it will be a wonderful memory when you look at it 15, 20, or 30 years from now :)

We don't over-photoshop your body or your face. We help you to show your strengths and play with lights and shadows instead.

We'll never make extreme changes to your body, as a boudoir is about helping you accept the way you are and not giving you a fake image of yourself.

That's also why we let you choose if you want to have makeup or not. Of course, during the first meeting, we will talk freely about parts of your body you do not like, and we will consider that during the shoot.

We will edit a love handle caused by a pose or scare that is too "eye-catching" and smoothly work the skin if needed... but you will keep the same leg size or bra measurement.

We offer different packages, but our difference is that we always include a beautiful print product with any of our sessions.

We prefer you have a final product more than pay for the session and pay again extra to get your photos.

Check our elegant box with professional prints or our album with linen or leatherette cover with the presentation box on our videos.

Having the print product done helps you to keep your privacy (you will not go to the lab to print your photos!).

You will choose your favorite photos at home from the online gallery, and we will create a preview for you.

Digital photos are an option on the first package and included in others; ask us for our complete price list.

We will help you to find your happy and comfortable place during the video call.

Both indoor and outdoor offer amazing opportunities to express yourself.

You don’t have to choose; the boudoir photoshoot could mix both.

There is no difference for us in terms of rates or creative aspects.

There is no difference at all for solo or a couple of boudoir sessions. You just have to click on the location below to see the options we propose.

That’s a fantastic idea, and he/she will be surprised! But to be sure everyone fully agrees with it, we will need to also meet your partner before the photoshoot.

We know plenty of great locations where you can be alone and feel relaxed. Depending on the seasons and areas (we serve Alberta and BC), we will suggest places with breathtaking views or cool natural settings!

Most of our clientele is actually between 40 and 65, and many of them coes because they need to boost their confidence.

We understand you could have parts of your body you don’t appreciate anymore, after giving birth, after surgery, and after diets, they are many different reasons why you need to build confidence.

We will guide you and assist you with the best solutions depending on your shape and goals. Choosing the right outfits, for example, is already a big change that will help you in your daily life! On our side, we will also focus on the best poses for you, the right light, and the perfect angle.

We won’t transform your body; we'll just smooth some scars. The idea of this kind of session is to see how you really are (because, let’s be honest, mirrors are terrible!:) and realize you have some assets to play with!

We will avoid shooting nude art outdoors in July and August and during weekends (except in quiet months).

Indoor boudoirs can be made whenever you want.

For outdoor boudoirs, especially nud-art or as a couple, we suggest April, May, the beginning of June, September, and October. Summer months are just too hot and busy for this kind of session to enjoy it plenty.

We’ve done some beautiful shoots during winter, too, if you want to try that feeling. It's completely durable.
