An elegant Indian-Italian fusion wedding at the Sky Hangar, Pitt Meadows, Vancouver.
After so many years photographing weddings we can tell you one thing: this big day you are preparing for, for months and sometimes for years, will not follow your scheduled plans! Unexpected things can happen during the day, before or while you get ready, or even during the ceremony. Don’t panic, stay calm, and focus on what’s important: the celebration of your love!
That’s exactly what Neelam and Michael did when they discovered they wouldn’t be able to go on the helicopter ride they were so excited about.
Just a day before, smoke from a big fire arrived from the US, and Vancouver, as well as a large part of BC, was now under a dark cloud and there was this strange orange sky. The photos looked like a Tuscany painting - a nod to the groom's Italian heritage. Lucky for us, the wedding ceremony took place indoors, at the Sky Hangar in Pitt Meadows. We loved shooting in this versatile and unique place. The bride got ready in a beautiful manor in which the stairs inspired us to do an editorial look shoot.
Our lovely couple chose tasteful pastel tones with some gold accents for the decor and the bouquets. This luxurious and elegant look was perfect for the Sky Hangar in Pitt Meadows. The bride wore a beautiful lace dress with a long veil and it was just amazing to see her walking down the aisle in it. Neelam and Michael found the perfect way to blend both Indian and Italian traditions into an elegant, modern, and stylish day!
The famous band The Hairfarmers, from Whistler, was on fire and so were the guests! By diving headfirst into the middle of the party, we were able to shoot real and raw emotions to capture vibrant images that will be remembered forever.
The getting ready of the bride has taken place in a beautiful Manor. Stairs inspire us for an editorial look shoot.
In September, some big smoke clouds came from California fires creating this strange orange sky. The photo looks like a Tuscany painting that is a nod to the groom's Italian heritage.
Some cute moments forever etched into our memory thanks to photos like this father playing and dancing with his son. That’s why we love staying during party.
Our lovely bride and groom choose some pastel tones for the wedding decore with some gold tones. This luxurious and elegant look was perfect at the Sky Hangar in Pitt Meadows.
The versatile place allowed us to stay on-site for the wedding ceremony, the reception, the dinner, and the wedding party. Although the helicopter ride was canceled because of the smoke clouds from the fire...it gave the family and guests from Canada, India, and Italy more time with the happy couple!
After the ceremony, we went back to the manor for a fun bridal party shoot around the pool with some champagne.
It was a small wedding with less than 50 guests, but the atmosphere was festive and sensational. To capture the vibe of the party in an authentic way, we photographed from the center of all the dancing! After just one song, guests paid less attention to us or danced with us and, it was how we were able to capture the real them, the real fun!
The Sky Hangar was high enough for a large bouquet toss.
Our beautiful bride wanted to include part of her Indian culture with this golden henna on her graceful hands.
Elegant fusion wedding LOOK.
