Boudoir, nude-art and intimate portraits to remember, in Kamloops, Okanagan Valley.

The first few years of M’s 20s were spent extensively in chemotherapy. M lives with Lupus, an autoimmune disease that affects many aspects of the body, including the joints, brain, blood cells, and heart. When she booked a boudoir shoot with SV Photograph, the shoot was not only a way to capture beautiful photos of herself against an idyllic backdrop, but also a way to remember her natural self at her best.

Being an introvert, it was inevitable for her to initially feel apprehensive about shooting nude-art photos in the wild. However, she soon overcame this challenge thanks to the inspiration of her environment and some encouragement from her photographers. She certainly felt proud and confident after the shoot, gaining a sense of fulfillment and joy.

We gave M a true depiction of herself in her photographs by using authentic editing and maintaining the integrity of the shape of her body. During the shoot, we offered some direction to artistically craft the photograph itself but never instructed any studied posing. Boudoir and nude-art to us mean grace, real natural beauty, and a combination of artistic flair and unforgettable locations - we wanted to reflect and capture that.

M’s boudoir shoot was based at the Thompson River at Okanagan’s Kamloops Country, an awe-inspiring destination with mountains and rangeland, as well as impressive colors! This wild landscape complemented our vision perfectly, complete with river and desert scenes that demonstrate a natural beauty, just like we aim for our photos to be.
