When we lived and worked in Moorea (Tahiti), intimate ceremonies were the majority of our work.
These mini-weddings continue to become increasingly popular, mainly because they allow the bride and groom greater flexibility in location and organization.
Some couples decide to have a larger party once they return home.
We will be glad to help you find the perfect place to elope.
Remember, there are millions of possibilities and more than helicopter elopements. Elopements are fantastic for this reason: you can choose any beautiful scenery in nature (beach, mountains, prairies, lake, desert…) or even urban (museum, aquarium, garden…).
The only limit is your imagination!
Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands are filled with rocky beaches, breathtaking sandy beaches, and temperate rainforests; we are always ecstatic when couples contact us to photograph their elopement in wild places.
The Rockies Beach Lakes or Waterton Park Lakes are beautiful options for elopements and intimate ceremonies. The crystal lakes with majestic mountains in the background are just a dream for Photographers, so you can imagine the result of your ceremony. You can even arrive by canoe (so Canadian, eh!).
We recommend organizing your beach elopement during the fall or spring months. Although the weather will most likely be rainy and cloudy (which is perfect for photos, by the way!), you could find the location on your own, and there is less risk of wildfires.
We captured some storms, followed by the most breathtaking sunset ever seen! So don't worry too much about the weather, and be ready to reconnect with nature and sand or pebbles between your toes!
You can also choose to have a forest wedding.
Shooting an elopement in the forest was one of our dreams, and our wish has been granted since we came to Canada!
Couples who choose this kind of elopement are adventurous people who love life and search for nature.
They are not afraid of having a little mud on the bottom of the dress at the end of this epic day!

We decided to get married at the beach, and Samuel and Virginie were there to assist us with our research.
It was really helpful, especially as we live in Calgary and want to get married on Vancouver Island.
The wedding day was amazing but full of emotions and challenges, as we even had a storm right after the ceremony! Despite this incredibly violent storm, Sam and Virginie were there for us and kept their optimistic vibes.
Others would probably want to stop the session there. The storm stopped, and incredible colors in the sky showed up. We ended up without just blue sky, beautiful photos and incredible memories!

This adorable couple choose to elope on the wild and dramatic West Coast beaches in Ucluelet, next to Tofino.
The creative bride made herself her wedding dress!
Their guests were narrowed to the direct family only.
After the wedding ceremony at the sandy beach, we reached the so visual rock beach.
In total, we’ve been to four different locations. At the very end, the couple ended on the emerald water of the Pacific ocean.
